This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year is my fourth year as the Visual Arts teacher at my school, but it is my first year with my very own classroom! I want to inspire the children to explore different materials and create fantastic works of art, but I need help creating a space that will engage the students. I work in a school in Brooklyn that has over 950 students. I work with children from pre-k to fifth grade. My students are amazing and they teach me something new every day. They are talented, curious, and they love to experiment and learn new techniques as they express their ideas through art.
My Project
This year, my school finally acquired the space to open up a NEW art studio for Art and STEAM projects! However, my students and I are in need of some furniture. I was given mixed old chairs.
Please help me create a welcoming art studio for my elementary students who many are experiencing art for the first time!
As the art teacher, I want to make sure that all of my students have a wonderful experience this year and many years to come in my art studio!
These stools will be a perfect size for all of my students from pre-K to 5th grade. They can be stored under the tables for easy storage and will make the art studio more spacious!
