STEAMing Forward Into A STEM School!

My students need STEM Bundle and Physical Science Activity Lab sets to enhance their hands-on STEM experiences and to see themselves as true scientists!

My Students

My students love learning! They live in a large urban city. Most are Title I students, which means they receive free breakfast and lunch. And, those in the after-school program receive free dinner as well. A select few of the students are part of an after school program that focuses on STEM learning. The students and staff are excited because this year our school is becoming a project based learning and a STEM learning school! This type of instruction will be new for the students, but I know they will enjoy it because our students are eager to learn in spite of having limited resources.

My Project

Our school is becoming a Project Based Learning and STEAM school this year. The staff has been spending the summer learning about STEM and implementing Project Based Learning in the classroom. The staff and students are excited about this new endeavor. However, we need materials to help make this transition fun and exciting! We will use these materials to help us in the process of becoming life-long learners, thinkers, and problem solvers. My student like learning about electricity, simple machines, and force and motion. They will use the STEM Bundle to learn earth quakes, robotics, and most of all they will be able to create a water titration center and learn about removing particles from dirty water. This type of learning is very relevant for my student since we are currently unable to drink any of the water in our school. I know that the more invested my student are in their work, the more they will learn from it. By receiving these supplies my students can explore experiments that will ignite their passion for science and learning!
