This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The majority of my students come from a low socio-economic status.

They attend a public elementary school in Florida which is a Title I school. Most of them are on free or reduced price lunch. A large population of our students are ESOL 1, so they are non- English or limited English speakers. Although our school is predominately Hispanic, we do have students from many Hispanic countries, as well. They come from an impoverished area, where opportunities are limited.

I love helping my students reach their full potential. My students are hardworking, energetic, eager to learn students. They are excited about every new topic I present to them. We learn lessons that go beyond standards - lessons that are useful for growth throughout life.

My Project

My goal designing this project is to strengthen, enhance and enrich students’ interest in science and STEAM in general

Our contemporary society is in great need of workers with a strong background in science.

It makes a great difference for students, for schools and for businesses who know that Education is the key to a student’s future success and a chance for a better quality of life. For that reason, I consider that it is crucial as a teacher to inspire lifelong engagement in science in young students’ lives.

The STEM Bundle will encourage students to ask questions, think critically and become problem-solving individuals. It will provide interactive, hands-on learning opportunities in STEAM that will extend and enhance the traditional elementary science curriculum through a safe environment for expanding young students’ comfort with and mastery of the natural world around them.
