My Students

My students are special because they are diverse learners who want to experience a fun and engaging education. They attend a community school where students live in close proximity. Our school is an early childhood center, located in an inner-city neighborhood. We are a Title I school where students receive free or reduced-price lunches too. Many students are new to the country and have to adapt to the English language and American culture. Relationships cannot grow without proper communication between peers.

My Project

The materials we are requesting will help us become engineers in our classroom. The magnetic blocks will be used to create structures during science. We are working on a weather unit and the weather science lab will allow students to create fun experiments. This will give students a variety of options to create experiments that will interest them. The fidgets will be used as rewards .

The materials requested are engaging, fun and realistic.

Students will work together in groups pretending to be engineers and collaborate to solve problems. Since STEAM is so important to teach students, the materials will help them achieve their learning goals.
