Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school has a diverse population of approximately 1100 students and is located in a low income community. The school is organized into three academies: early childhood, elementary, and middle school.

Our students are eager to learn and have shown great interest in the hands on learning that STEAM offers to them.

This will help grow our program and challenge them.

My Project

Our school has started a new STEAM program that has captured students in ways we never thought possible. Students who struggle, students with language barriers, students who are gifted and more are eager to work the STEAM program.

This will help to challenge our students and empower them with project based learning.

The students will be learning life long skills using creativity, problem solving skills and critical thinking. These materials will offer the hands on approach that encourages the students to continue to work through the struggles of completing a task.
