This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

There’s nothing quite like watching a child play in the sand. Watching their eyes widen as they scoop up the sand and slowly let it trickle through their fingers is nothing short of magical. Sand play is not only fun, but also quite valuable as well. Sand play provides countless developmental benefits to children. Regardless if it’s at the playground, in a sandbox, at a sand table, or at the beach, playing with sand can provide a lot more than a good time!

We have an amazing sandbox full of amazing clean sand.

The students love playing in the sand and creating things. Unfortunately, we do not have enough building toys for them. With this project, we will be able to provide the students with more buckets, castles and shovels to ensure hours of fun.

Additionally, we are in need of a sand rake to keep the sandbox clean.
