This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Southeast elementary has created a new STEAM teaching position for grades K - 5. I am the new teacher for this position.
I want to instill in my students a love for Science, Math, Art, and Music.
I also want my students to learn about exciting STEAM and STEM jobs and careers!
As this is a new position in the school we do not have any STEM/STEAM materials for classroom lessons. This would be a wonderful way to help us have a wonderful program and to inspire our youth for the future.
This is a Title I school.
Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are available. Plus in this technology literate world, any interaction and exposure with updated technology will increase their literacy as well as their desire to learn and use the new technology as well as learn STEM/STEAM skills!
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
