My Project

I am a first-year teacher at a brand new community-based charter school. I will be teaching a sixth grade project-based learning class focused on helping students reflect on the community and world around them, navigate real-world problems, and create solutions to tackle them.

Art supplies like markers, colored pencils, cardboard, Play-doh, glue, and other basic classroom necessities will support students as they put on their inventor hats.

Students will collaborate with their peers, learn from community partners, and create research projects from their findings. This project will support students' prototypes and allow students to design their solutions.

My goal with this project is to inspire students' love of learning through immersive and hands-on challenges.
