STEAM Innovators, Movie Creators

My students need technology tools (and protective cases) to have more ownership in the classroom! These ipod touches will allow students to record stop-motion movies, photos, video diaries and support them through our STEAM journey!

My Students

My students are an amazing, cohesive group. They strive to include all students and work together to solve problems. One of our classroom rules is "you can't say 'you can't play' " (Vivian Paley). This perfectly exemplifies the inclusiveness that bonds the students closer to a family each day.

The students in our class represent a sea of diverse families.

They are also learning on many different levels throughout each subject. The students light up when we move, play, explore and dive deep into our standards. When these students are leading the world one day, I have all the confidence in accomplishments they will make.

My Project

My students LOVE using technology to learn. We are in a device-driven world and the students are instantly engaged when devices are integrated into their learning. These ipods will offer students the ability to record movies, photos, access digital literacy and SO much more! I have allowed my students to photograph and make movies with my personal devices but want to give them more time and freedom by offering student-specific ipods.

Already the students have recorded audio, video, photos and they absolutely love to see themselves as creators, scientists, engineers, artists and mathematicians. I can't wait for them to utilize these resources for further learning!
