This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work at a Title 1 public school predominately serving students of color. My students are inquisitive thinkers that learn best when they get the chance to apply their knowledge through project-based learning. They are passionate about the environment and are looking into creative alternatives to help reduce energy consumption.

Your donation will allow my students to investigate and test alternative energy solutions in the classroom, such as solar power and hydraulics.

Materials asked include mini solar panel kits, basic craft supplies, and engineering tools. Contributions to this project will make a difference in cultivating a love of science and the environment for my students. Thank you for your investment in STEAM education for public school students.
