This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am requesting a Design Play STEAM Cars Kit, a Design Build Engineering Centers, Magna-Tiles Metropolis, and a Remote Control Gear Bot. My goal is for students to be engaged, yet challenged while building and creating various vehicles and edifices. I am interested in sets like these because they invite students to work together as a team, which is often easier said than done. I challenge students to complete products collectively. This is great practice for future group projects in their secondary, post-secondary, as well as work-related scenarios.
These engaging, hands-on STEAM sets will allow students to explore, play, and learn as a community.
The moving parts often attract student interest, but the process of building and working as a team prove to be more important for student learning and growth.
