This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are inventive, curious, and full of energy. They light up when given opportunities to build and create, especially during our STEAM challenges. We’ve collected plenty of LEGO bricks, but we’re missing base plates to give structure and support to their ideas. These simple yet essential items will allow students to build taller, design stronger, and think deeper as they explore engineering concepts hands-on. My goal is to provide them with tools that encourage creativity, teamwork, and critical thinking through playful learning.
A strong foundation helps build strong minds.
With these base plates, students will have the stability they need to experiment fearlessly. They’ll be able to construct bridges, machines, and imaginative structures while learning real-world problem-solving skills. This project will help us unlock their potential and turn our LEGO challenges into powerful learning experiences they’ll never forget.
