Help me give my students the opportunity to practice creative and critical thinking skills they will need for careers in STEAM.

My Project

I hope to bring my students many opportunities to practice the foundations of STEAM skills. My students are working on Florida's Gifted Framework goals. Gifted students have needs that go beyond what is traditionally offered in the regular classroom.

Creative and critical thinking are the foundation for STEAM skills and my students are ready to practice and engage in these skills every day.

The activities of Gravity Maze, Marble Genius and Build A Track will give students the opportunity to make connections between materials and to anticipate what will happen next to achieve their goal. Another key STEAM skill is strategy. The game Chickapig gives students the opportunity to practice which strategy will get them to their goal in the most effective and efficient way. Lastly, a key component of STEAM skills is creativity. Anomia, Scategories Categories, Distruptus, and Whatchma Draw It all call on students to tap into their creative side and come up with uncommon solutions to questions and problems.
