This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

STEAM creates Jr. Scientists! We are one of the lucky schools in our county and only one of a handful with a fully implemented STEAM Program.

As an official STEAM School, I am excited about the possibilities to bring them a broad spectrum of opportunities to see how they use their problem solving and critical thinking skills to enhance their lessons and reach out into various STEAM fields.

Due to our limited resources, these students do not always have all the materials readily available to them, but with the help of DonorsChoose.org, I hope to change that.

The materials and projects that are listed will enable my students to enhance their lessons in coding and STEAM and offer them the opportunity to build on their work with robotics.

We are a Title I school, elementary grades Pre-K-4. My students come from diverse backgrounds and socio-economic families. Our school has over 75% of the students receiving a free or reduced-price lunch. We are located in a residential rural area with a variety of cultural backgrounds.

My Project

My students’ insight and classroom experiences will be enhanced with the opportunity of "hands-on" learning activities broadening their critical thinking skills in both math and science and enabling them to delve deeper into the exciting world of STEAM!

The Ozobots will give them opportunities to use their coding skills.

Wonder Workshop is a good coding learning program for children of all backgrounds and the Spheros will help them to learn the manueuverability and adaptation of robots in their world.

With these materials, our classroom will be able to host a variety of STEAM projects and participate in a STEAM Friday!
