This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We’ve shared this before, but it’s worth sharing again, what you are making is an investment in our future leaders. The materials you see are just a small part of what you will be donating towards. What you’ll be a part of is the students enjoying the process of becoming lifelong learners. Learning through art can be empowering for our students. These materials are just a few tools that may seem small, but they make a large impact. They will allow for our students to share, be creative, learn to work together, inspire and to be inspired by others. Our students have helped us choose the materials for our school. They are a vital part of the process. For our students, these are not just materials, they are tools to a world of learning and tapping in to student potential which allows for students to be creative and have fun learning. These materials will be part of our STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) cart that reaches all learners in our school. The Magna-Tiles inspire learning and creativity through building, creating, and working independently or in a group. The beads and elastic are a wonderful tool for our tactile learners who can create words and/or patterns. They can use these tools for counting and spelling too! We thank you in advance for learning about our students and our project.
