Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Opening our school campus to opportunities for coding, building, creating, and programming robotics will give the students hands-on experience in areas they may not otherwise have. In the area of Hemet, CA, our before-school STEAM and Robotics Club will engage students who will benefit from extra motivation or recognition.

We will be reaching out specifically to students who have demonstrated chronic absenteeism and tardiness with robotics as a motivating factor to be on campus before school begins.

We will also use the resources from this club to provide enrichment opportunities to all students. This program will allow students to explore technology in ways that go beyond the traditional classroom experience. Receiving these robots will help to start building one component of the STEAM and Robotics Club and will generate excitement for our students that will open up a whole new world and has the potential to change the trajectory of their lives.
