My Project
Ours is an inner city school with budgetary constraints, but our middle schoolers have unlimited creative mindsets! My middle school students love science, but I notice that they love art even more! Combining the two can render high engagement and FUN! I will guide them and they will guide me as together we explore various ways to tackle science by applying our artistic skills.
Students will work in small groups and independently to make their science lessons come alive through their art skills.
They will electronically project images, utilize science boards and present detailed art work to display to both their peers and parents. Now their passion for art can help them to observe and interpret science as a visual adventure.
Visual analysis, math proportions, compiling data and more will occur as students use science test kits and conduct microscopic examinations. With the inclusion of art, science will becomes enchanting! Besides, through students' artistic creations our hallways will make your eyes pop out! As you read their analysis reports, you can SEE their science discoveries. STEAM is adventurous FUN!
