This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hands on science activities bring to life real world experiences. These hands on experiences with the computer disks, STEM kits will better help the students to remember what they are learning and they will be able to learn the science content areas for kindergarten by the end of each school year.
My students are in a title 1 kindergarten classroom.
They live in a mostly low income Hispanic neighborhood where there experiences are limited. My students are very curious about science and how things work. They need more hands on materials to help show them so that with their ELL backgrounds they get both hands on and literacy practice.
My Project
My students will use these science materials during science centers. We will explore the materials together and then in small groups. With the science computer disks the students will get to explore through technology. With the kits they will get hands on experience and with the whiteboard and markers they can record their observations. They need more hands on materials to help show them so that with their ELL backgrounds they get both hands on and literacy practice. The STEM kits for motion, magnets, and sink and float will provide these hands on experiences the students need to succeed. The STEM manual of ideas will provide me a great background of materials to use. By providing us with these materials you will be giving the students a great science resource that will help them to master their science content.
My project will make a difference because it covers all areas of learning from hands on, literacy, listening, exploring, and technology it will motivate all learning styles to want to learn more about science.
These science materials will give my students the incentive to want to learn and to remember what they learned. Your donation will help them get the experiences in science that they need. Thank you.
