STEAM Activities for Elementary Special Education Students to Encourage Learning and Fun

My Project
My students love to earn LEGO time so they can build and create all kinds of different things. The erector set (more for my younger students) and the Keva set will allow my students to build things different things. The erector set has parts that move and bend and the Keva set allows students to put into action their theories on force and motion. The Ricky the Rock books go along with a STEM activity that encourages students to apply knowledge to make real "rough" rocks roll using household items as well as art tissue paper (also listed). The art tissue, rubber ducks and yarn are part of a STEM activity as well that students use different materials to create a parachute for their rubber duck. My special education students love to work for the activities that I have available for them and am hoping that having a few new activities will increase their on task behaviors and give them some new activities to explore.
