Help me give my students a place for them to stay organized, practice their skills, and hold their work so they can see their efforts and share their progress with their classmates!
Third graders start as eager sponges waiting to soak everything in! They are inquisitive and ready to explore!
Being engaged, collaborating, communicating, and sharing their ideas and creativity are cornerstones of the class and keys to success.
The students are adept and will quickly pick up to new ways to learn and show how they shine!
My Project
Having the resources you need readily availabe, a place to keep it all organized, and a way to show and share is so important. Being able to access materials physically as well as digitally can go a long way!
Whiteboards are also a great tool - a quick and easy way for teachers to gather formative data from all students in real time and modify the pace of instruction on the go.
They are an excellent visual for young students to explain their work to their peers, allowing all to see mulitple strategies to solve problems and encouraging them to look at solutions from various perspectives. Whiteboards can be used again and again across subject areas, on their own and during sychronous (live) learning.
The cardstock is to make manipulatives the students can use in math. Using a hands on approach and having 'objects' to move around and play with help let the children find ways to do things on their own and actually 'see' the answers.
