This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Many of my students are English learners who need a variety of resources to access concepts. With my yearly classroom budget I buy basic supplies like notebooks and pencils, so I use DonorsChoose.org to provide my students with experiences outside our basic curriculum.

Our school serves a diverse population, with many students learning English as their second language.

In order for my teaching to be effective, it's important to have the supplies and resources to support their needs. My students are curious, bright, energetic, and deserve to have a quality education.

My Project

I want my class to be a comfortable place to learn. My students love having flexible seating options because it is more comfortable and benefits their body movements. I would like to add two more taller wobble stools for my students to be able to move a little while they are working. Wobble stools also help work on their core and balance.

With Covid-19 cases on the rise again, my first priority is to keep my students safe.

I would like to provide my students with KN95 masks to give them more protection while we are at school.
