My Students

As a first year teacher, I was so excited to meet my first ever group of students to call my very own. Since Open House night a few weeks ago, my students have far exceeded all expectations. They are creative, smart, and extremely funny. I have seen many talents and hobbies surfacing from different students in my classroom.

As a teacher of pre-teens, I strive to foster these talents and encourage each of them to achieve their personal goals.

I have noticed most of my students love to draw, create, and show off their work. I incorporate their interests into as many lessons as possible. It makes me so happy when my students flood my desk with drawings related to our topic. It doesn't feel like learning when you are getting to do something you love! I am lucky enough to feel that way about my job every day because of my students!

My Project

Teachers Pay Teachers is a resource I would like to able to utilize more in order to do room transformations to increase student interest in Science and Social Studies. Being able to put my students in different settings will help them FEEL the power of learning and reach a part of their learning experience they haven't discovered yet!

It is important now more than ever to keep our students healthy and in the classroom!

I have felt the financial burden of keeping my classroom stocked with supplies such as masks, disinfectant sprays, wipes, etc. Two items that I have to replace the most are tissues and hand sanitizer. With these donations, my classroom will always be stocked with these items and I will be able to give to my colleagues in desperate times!
