My Project

As a school psychologist in a large, urban high school, some of the most requested resources are snacks and water. Many students come to school having not eaten and the impacts of being hungry can make it extremely difficult to focus and learn within the classroom.

Having snacks available not only helps children in staying focused and safe in school but can also aid students experiencing crisis to feel more grounded.

When students have snacks available, they feel taken care of, supported, and a part of a caring school community.
