My Students
My third grade students are diverse, creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love learning about the world around them and their unique place within it. Our student population is comprised of 30% English language learners and most within the lower socio-economic background.
My Project
My students need wobble chairs, floor desks, and wobble bands to help focus on learning. These seating options will help my students re-adjust to being back in the classroom after a trying year of distance learning due to the coronavirus last year.
Students who are expected to sit in traditional chairs all day often become restless and unable to concentrate.
Various seating options will give students the power to choose the best seating options to meet their individual learning needs. Providing students with options of how they work makes a difference and studies have shown higher completion rate of assignments, better performance, and more engagement among the class.
