Staying Fit to Music

My students need a wireless music system with quality sound to enhance their fitness experience both inside and outside. When they workout to music it becomes fun!

My Students

Each physical education class begins with a warm up that consists of running to heavy bass packed music! The music motivates the children and actually makes them forget that they are getting much need exercise!

My students attend school in a low income urban area and 100% of them qualify for free lunch.

Most of my students receive the most nutritious meals of their day right here at school and most of them also get the most physical activity of their day when they come to my PE class. Despite the conditions that many of them live in they are always excited about coming to PE.

My Project

Music seems to make everything a little better! If you've ever run, ridden your bike or worked out to music you know how it can make the experience more enjoyable. My students love music so it's one of the things I use to bring excitement to something that could be an arduous chore. The docking station will allow me to play music while we exercise indoors or outdoors to improve our cardio endurance and strength. The quality sound produced by the system will enhance the PE experience.

As childhood obesity and other diseases associated with sedentary lifestyles are plaguing our community, creating an awareness of the importance of physical activity in ones daily life and fostering a love for it is a major goal in my PE class.

The addition of quality sound to our lessons will enhance the important life lessons I'm teaching in PE.
