This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from diverse backgrounds, both culturally and economically. Being students of the 21st century, they mainly get their news from social media outlets that we know are not necessarily true.

As they grow and mature, I want my students to become more aware of current events that are happening not only locally and in their neighborhood, but also globally.

Scholastic News is a fantastic resource that will keep students engaged with high-interest articles, and also assist in continuing to build a love and passion for reading and the world that they live in!
