My Project
My students are a diverse bunch of learners in East New York, Brooklyn. They love coming to occupational therapy to work hard on their goals and become more independent at school. They always try their best, but the demands of school and the state of the world can be overwhelming.
Sometimes, my amazing students need extra support to stay calm and collected during their school day.
They would deeply benefit from extra resources to help calm their nervous systems and reset their minds in order to return to therapy and class activities. Many of them need deep pressure and compression to stay regulated and they can have lots of options with the compression vests, sensory canoe, and body sock. The blackout tent can help them settle down without distractions.
