My Project
My students are amazing, resilient and loving. They are special because of their unwillingness to give up in the face of difficult circumstances. My students classrooms need calm down kits that will provide interventions to calm down when they feel stressed or overwhelm by school or life itself.
Students are still dealing with post pandemic stressors and adjusting to school.
I plan to put calm down kits in each classroom as well as our specials classes and ec classes to be available for students when they have big emotions. I believe these kits would be a good resource to help support the emotional needs of my students. I also think these kits would give each teacher peace of mind knowing that they have a tool kit to support their students.
