Staying Alive...Staying Alive

Help me give my students a charging station to keep their tablets charged and cases for their tablets so that they can last longer.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Parker's classroom raised $199

My Students

My classroom is self-contained, and I teach in an urban area. Reading is very important, and I want to highlight the importance of it this year with this group of students. I do know that I will have a variety of students on different levels. I have a group of students that come from different backgrounds. More than half of my students are performing below grade level due to the pandemic. These kids are special to me because they are aware they missed a lot but they never give up!

My Project

“Ms. Parker my tablet is dead! Ok class, we're about to play kahoot….” (Turns on tablets and they are all dead).

Teaching a group of second graders how to handle electronics can be very hard!

We have a total of 8 classroom tablets and currently we have one tablet that is cracked and barely working.

Ah, ha, ha, ha, stayin' alive, stayin' aliveeeee!! The tablets tend to go dead pretty fast and I sometimes forget to charge them. It is not safe for me to have the tablets charging around in different spots of the classroom. It is also not safe to have the students pulling tablets from out of the outlets. My 2nd graders can also be careless at times and accidentally drop the tablets. It took a lot to get these tablets and we cannot afford for any of them to break.

Please help me by donating , so that my students can have a charging station for their tablets. Having the charging station would allow for the tablets to be fully charge between and before each use. Having the cases would help save the tablets from breaking or the screen cracking. Anything helps!!!

Students will use the case to hold their tablets to keep them from shattering or breaking. I will assign one kid to be in charge of putting the tablets on the dock, so that the tablets are always charged.
