Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our district educates approximately 250 residential and day students in kindergarten through grade 12 who have emotional, behavioral, and learning problems. Most students reside here and live in cottages with an array of different staff members supporting them.

The computer lab is open to students in grades kindergarten through twelve.

Our classroom is designed to attract all ages and has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere of happiness to it when you enter. We try to keep a peaceful environment. Lessons are tailored to each student's ability and most often, one-on-one instruction is necessary.

My Project

Help me give 10 of my high school students warm white sweatshirts to wear that remind them of the book we are reading My students will design and create a sweatshirt design based on the book, Rich Dad, Poor Dad. This book will change the way they think about money to live a better healthier lifestyle.

They will design their very own sweatshirt using the Chromebook and I will print and iron it on for them since we are not in the classroom and working from a mobile cart.

We will still do the popular project this year but with only one lucky class. I hope we get this funded this winter season.
