Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This year, I moved from 3rd to 5th grade. Our 5th grade desks are built differently than our 3rd grade desks, and my students need a place to store their textbooks, folders, notebooks, and supplies. I have chosen the cupboards to help the students stay organized as they will store their items inside.

This project is focused on giving my students a place to put their backpacks and learning materials.

The metal racks are for my students' backpacks. With 21 "big" kids in a classroom, I am one who prefers for the students' backpacks to not be on the backs of their chairs, as they can easily become tripping hazards. I also prefer for the backpacks to be away from the students so that they aren't tempted to be in them throughout the day. My students also attend BOC (Band, Orchestra, Choir) twice a week, and have instruments that they must transport from class to home twice a week. A secondary metal rack will be utilized to store student instruments on the necessary days. Funding of this project will help keep our 5th grade classroom organized, tidy, and safe!
