My Project
During our most recent restorative circle session, my students shared their ideas on how to improve our classroom environment. After some discussion on subjects, STEM in particular, and classroom work, my students suggested these STEM projects to enrich their collective classroom experience. Each item, such as the BricQ Motion Essential and Pi Pico W Ultimate Starter Kits, allows me to tailor lessons and learning activities to better meet the individual needs and interests of each student.
My students have made great progress in their social/emotional and personal development.
Part of their progress was demonstrated when they provided me with a valuable window into their thoughts on how I can improve their classroom engagement. They think, and I agree, that more experiential opportunities will facilitate their individual learning pace, allow them to demonstrate what they have learned and make learning STEM more fun.
As an optional education program, students come to our school when their home school environment does not work well for them. We provide a small classroom setting where in addition to academic performance, building positive relationships are a priority. I also want to reciprocate their trust and openness by demonstrating I value their inputs and suggestions and bring these materials into my teaching tool kit to sustain my students renewed excitement in STEM.
