My Project
My students are incredible, unique learners who thrive with structure, creativity, and hands on support. I teach a self-contained classroom for students with autism, and every day we work on communication, socioemotional growth, and academic skills tailored to their individual needs.
Many of my students have sensory processing challenges that make it hard for them to focus, feel comfortable, or regulate their emotions in a traditional classroom environment.
Thats why this project is so important.
This project will provide essential materials such as sensory tools, fidget items, calming manipulatives, educational manipulatives, and flexible seating- all designed to support sensory regulation and individualized learning. These resources will help reduce anxiety, increase engagement, and create a classroom where every student can thrive.
