This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come from various classroom to work with me on reading. At times, they get very anxious about practicing their reading and theses calming strips will help them to lessen their anxiety and focus their attention as they practice their reading in my classroom. These calming strips will also make a difference in their own class as they can use them to regulate their need to sensory input in a quiet way that will not disturb other students. Ultimately, these calming strips will help my students progress academically as they will be better able to focus.
