My Students
My students are amazing! After a year and a half of virtual learning, they are back in the classroom and ready to learn. Woo-hoo! In the building we are experiencing a myriad of issues. Students and staff are testing positive for the Coronavirus every week which means we are always understaffed and many of us function with half full classrooms. Student and staff morale are at an all time low. We are working diligently to improve the school day for students and staff.
My Project
Thank you so much for stopping by our project. Students are back in the building but things are not the same. The Coronavirus has changed everything. Morale among the students is at an all time low. We have started an active after school program. Students can interactive with each other while playing basketball, soccer, volleyball, board games and several other activities. These activities give the students a structured way to release their energy. They can run, play and interact with each other in a way they haven't been able to in over eighteen months. They look forward to this time and need it not just for their physical health but their mental health as well. Students will participate in sporting activities 2 times a week after school and 3 times a week during school. It has become a great way to motivate students and give opportunities for positive interaction between them. They look forward to and enjoy this time!
