My Students

The students at my school are highly motivated and have joined a school where they join in one of three majors, construction trades, architecture or engineering. Many of them are looking to challenge themselves in mathematics. Most of the students are first generation and their parents have immigrated here to give their children the best educational opportunity.

These students are ambitious and dedicated to improving their lives both in and out of school.

Many of my students are minorities and come from low income families. All the students in my class plan to attend college and for some students, they will be the first in their family to do so! They are wiling to put in the hard work and extra time to be successful with this rigorous material.

My Project

I teach AP statistics in New York City. My students have just returned to school from being remote for the last 18 months. However they are highly motivated and ready to put in the work.

I have a sophomore class that is only the second in the history of the school to attempt to take on the rigor of AP statistics.

Unfortunately we start a month later than a lot of school across the nation but they will taking the exam on the same day. They need the extra resources to help them be successful.

These review books will allow them to have the extra practice at home. We have less time to prepare so my students will need to put in the extra work outside of class, but they are ready for the challenge!
