My Project

I am writing to respectfully request funding to support the expansion of our cello music library through the acquisition of solo and accompanied works for cello. As part of our ongoing efforts to provide students with diverse, historically rich, and technically challenging repertoire, we have identified a curated list of essential works that will significantly enhance the learning opportunities and performance experiences available to our cellists.

The requested materials include 30 individual pieces or collections, each selected for their pedagogical value, stylistic diversity, and representation of major composers and periods.

This expanded library will support both solo and collaborative learning, encouraging students to explore a broad range of musical expressions—from the Romantic lyricism of Elgar and Bruch to the folkloric vibrancy of Bartók and the technical demands of Shostakovich and Bloch.

Each item has been carefully chosen to provide a balance of skill levels and styles, ensuring usefulness across multiple grade levels and solo recitals. A full list of titles, catalog numbers, and unit prices is available upon request or attached as an appendix.

This project aligns with our mission to inspire and equip student musicians through comprehensive exposure to high-quality literature.
