My Project
My classroom is full of bright, curious, and energetic second graders who are excited to learn and grow. Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds and face challenges outside the classroom. I strive to create a warm and welcoming environment where every child feels valued, supported, and motivated to do their best.
At the start of the school year, little things go a long way!
I’m requesting essential items to help our class stay organized, feel encouraged, and make learning fun:
Pencils – A classroom essential! We go through lots of these as students work on writing, math, and drawing each day.
Desk Name Plates – These help build a sense of identity and ownership over their learning space, and they support name recognition and spelling early in the year.
M&Ms and Smarties – Used as fun, edible rewards to motivate positive behavior and engagement during the first few weeks of school.
DumDums Lollipops – A sweet little way to say “great job!” after tough tasks or kind behavior.
These simple tools help build classroom community and spark excitement in learning. They may seem small, but they make a big difference in helping my students feel seen, supported, and successful.
