I work in a Title I school with some of the most amazing, creative, and hard-working students. More than 60% of my students come from a lower socioeconomic home. Many of my students are ESL, and many more qualify for special education.
I have the best students, and I want to give them the best!
Because of the daily obstacles my students face, some of them find education very challenging. Many come to school without their basic needs being met, so it is hard for them to focus on math, science, or reading. I try to think outside of the box so that my kids are engaged and want to learn.
My Project
Our class will need some basic supplies to start the school year with. We will need Kleenex. Typically, our class goes through at least a box a week and during flu season we go through several boxes each week. We also need some water colors and glue sticks for a variety of projects that we will do throughout the year. Finally, we will need a set of yard sticks. The yard sticks will be used to measure science investigations and solve math problems. We would love your support for our classroom. Thank you!
