My Project
My school is mostly low-income students and families. I have students who are sometimes late to school so they miss breakfast and are very hungry and not able to concentrate. I also have students who have texture or food difficulties and cannot eat certain foods and get very hungry and irritable towards the end of the day.
Having snacks on hand to take care of these situations of hungry students would not only help the students to feel better and allow them to mentally focus but also to help them not be irritable--which reduces meltdowns.
Snacks being readily available has helped students so much and would come in handy to start the year with snacks that would help our students when they are struggling.
