This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with a group of enthusiastic, creative, and imaginative 3rd Graders who are centered around community learning. My students come from very diverse backgrounds that can be seen through their learning and collaboration. This group of students strives for success through perseverance, hard work, and determination. Even though they may face barriers along the way, students express resilience in and out of school.

Each student comes into the classroom with a unique perspective and attributes that completes our classroom family.

This ensures our class is full of learning, laughter, and love.

My Project

The use of flexible seating in the classroom allows students the opportunity to become independent, self-aware, and in control of their learning. Students become comfortable and self-governing in the classroom and in their learning.

Flexible seating recognized the ability for students to move freely throughout the classroom in various forms in order to maintain physical health, choice, collaboration, and sensory input.

Students increase oxygen flow to the brain and core strength as well as stimulation that helps children with focusing and processing information. Lastly, having students in charge of their own learning and cooperation with peers.
