My Project
One thing I enjoy when teaching US History is taking the opportunity to give the kids a chance to be creative. With your help, students will have everything they need to use their creativity and ease their worries about personal hygiene, sanitation, and completing assignments.
I also want to encourage giving and service, which this project also supports.
Not only do I try to provide students with pencils, pens, and paper, I also want to make sure their personal hygiene needs are met without a trip to the clinic or a call to parents, which disrupts their ability to learn. I am including a desk chair as well because it would be nice to start the year in comfort for all of us!
When students’ needs are met, they are freer to learn and more likely to succeed! Many of our students come from low-income households and are relying on support from schools and kind community members like you! Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting this project!
