Starting Off on the Right Foot

My students need school supplies such as pencils, crayons, paper and more that will keep us stocked as we learn throughout the year.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Krauser's classroom raised $297

My Students

By the end of the school year, my students were sharpening their pencils down to the metal piece. Crayons didn't have wrappers, were broken into tiny pieces, and almost impossible to work with when coloring. We couldn't use whiteboards because we were out of dry erase markers the last few weeks.

My first grade students are such hard workers at a rigorous charter school in our nation's capital.

Everyday they come to school, eager to learn and ready to show what they know. We are a low-income school with the majority of students qualifying for free or reduced breakfast and lunch. It is a job for most families to get their students to school each day, but they do it knowing their children are getting a high quality education and creating a bright future. My students are high energy, fun loving children who genuinely love to learn.

My Project

My students go above and beyond to achieve the goals that are set out for them and they deserve to have the best possible materials that will allow them to be proud of their work. The crayons will be used to create artwork, complete worksheets where they need to sort or separate, and identify objects. The white board markers will allow my students to work on the carpet and interact throughout the lesson. The glue sticks will allow my students to make sorts in social studies and create projects to help them understand concepts in math. All of these materials will allow my students to start the year off in a strong, organized classroom that will help them succeed in their learning.

These materials will help my classroom run smoothly and my students be proud of the work they are creating.

I will no longer have to tell my students to dig in their desks for a pencil because I am out or to borrow a glue stick from their neighbor because they are dried up. We will have quality materials that students will be so excited to use to continue their learning. Thank you so much for your support!
