Starting An Elementary School Band From Scratch, Part II
My students need a trumpet and assorted extra materials to start their instrumental music program. I hope to develop a decent sized band this year for them.

My Students
So this is Part II of my previous requests. Due to a tight budget, we have to build this I hope to expand instrumentation to include more flutes, and clarinets, but also saxophones, trombones, a tuba, and percussion.
My students are very curious individuals.
They live in an area of New York City that has been neglected socially, and politically. Some of my students have been displaced and otherwise greatly affected by Hurricane Sandy. Last year, our school had to relocate temporarily to a school in Brooklyn for a few days. Last year was really tough on my students, and their community.
My Project
My previous request was for two clarinets, and two flutes. This request expands our instrumentation to include one trumpet, as well as lesson books for the clarinet, flute, and trumpet (including a teacher edition). These books are set up so that each lesson can be a solo or group activity, which will allow students to hear the blend of the ensemble, and help students recognize that they are just as an important member of the ensemble as the other instruments. I've also included maintenance kits for each instrument, and a computer program to teach music theory. This will be used as a supplement to my general education program, as well as my performance ensembles (band and chorus).
Donations to this request puts us one step closer to building an elementary band from scratch.
