This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The mission of our school is to reimagine public education in low-income communities of color to prepare conscious, critical thinkers who are equipped to graduate from college and create a more equitable and sustainable world.

As a new school site, we want to transform our campus to include more natural spaces and a school garden.

We need to get gardening tools, build raised beds, build a compost area, and add waste diversion signage around campus. We know this will create more calm, beautiful, and healthy spaces for students to learn and thrive.
