My students need to always start off the school year fresh with new tricks and treats to engage students and prepare them for a fabulous school year. WE need markers, books, laminating pouches and more.

My Students

What are we in 2nd grade? We are flexible and organized! My students walk into my classroom every day excited for the new adventures on which I will take them. They are eager to see what each new day will bring and willing to try their very best in every activity they engage in.

My classroom is an inclusion classroom servicing Special Education students in a general education setting.

I have to use a lot of differentiation throughout my school day to be sure I am reaching and allowing each student access to the curriculum to the best of their ability. I spend hours modifying, creating, and altering assignments so that each student can be confident in his/her work and feel like they are able to meet the requirements for every assignment.

Also, in my class, I have many students that are a part of nutrition club which gives them food weekly to bring home. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day. They know my classroom is their happy and safe place.

My Project

The beginning of the school year is always expensive for teachers as they help get the best materials to engage and encourage students for a successful and fun year. These materials will help us start the year off with some flexible seating so students have different areas to learn and explore, more technology which we will use for blogging, coding, math centers and reading groups and new supplies! I want my classroom to be a welcoming, fun and warm place for all my students and parents. Many classes are trying out flexible seating and I feel with the diversity of the stools for the students I get each year this might help students focus and engage better! Technology is a huge part of my classroom and having the Fire 7 tablets will help us finish off our class set so each student can have the same device and use it for daily activities. The book We Are All Wonders is a great book to use to start the year off and set the standard in my classroom that we are kind to everyone! We we use the scented markers for MANY anchor charts that we will do this school year! We will use the doorbell to help with transitions throughout the day mostly with our math rotations. The lamination packs are so we can have centers that can be easily re used and used with a dry erase markers.
