Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When preschool students start their new school year, it's great to engage them in a variety of art projects to keep them busy. Some kids need to try things at school that they aren't doing at home.
Fun, colorful projects created at school in the first few weeks can motivate my students to come to school, express themselves and proudly display their artwork.
Markers, crayons, glue and paint sticks and colorful paper for collage and water color helps us fill the room with student art right from the beginning. Name plates help with labeling and letter recognition skills. Picture frames make wonderful keepsakes from the beginning of the school year and decorating crowns is something we always do on our first day of school.
With public school budgets being cut, these donations give us the ability to offer a wider array of materials for our students to use. It helps us create an inviting and child centered environment.
