This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As this year went by I started writing down things I felt were useful for any new year and built this wish list based off that.
Giving each student their own pencil box helped students organize their materials and feel prepared for the day.
Last year, we made DIY privacy boards that kept falling apart, the, privacy boards in my wish list are sturdy and provide a positive message for students while testing. I also added a lot of ways to build a welcoming classroom with room decor, inspirational posters, and skin color crayons. The classroom I am assigned to next year does not have cabinets, therefore the hooks on the list are for me to hang their backpacks without creating holes. These are just a few reasons why these items will help us start a great year.
