This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our classroom, we start our day with Morning Tubs; tubs that provide an opportunity to practice skills or create through STEM. My students love this time & I love it too! It gives us time to settle into our day, all while providing organic opportunities for my students to collaborate and talk to one another.
This year, a huge hit has been our Marble Run!
However, I only have one. Because there are so many pieces, I have it split into two bins, but our constant dilemma is that one group of students is left with fewer pieces for their run. I want to solve this problem in two ways; getting another Marble Run and getting bigger bins to hold the pieces so that I can have two complete sets for two groups of students to enjoy. Because this group loves to create and build, I have also included a few new building activities in this project as well!
