Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The phonics-based books I am requesting will significantly enhance students' early literacy development by providing targeted practice with vowel sounds, blends, and digraphs. These books focus on specific phonetic patterns, helping students master the foundational skills necessary for fluent reading. By reinforcing these concepts in a fun and engaging way, the books will increase student confidence and foster a love for reading. They are ideal for small-group learning, ensuring that each student gets the individualized attention they need to succeed. The shoulder pals will encourage them to grab a book and read.
The primary goal of this project is to improve the reading skills of early learners, focusing on phonics as the foundation for reading success.
Through this project, we aim to set students up for long-term literacy success, preparing them for more complex reading challenges in the future.
